It was important to implement the 1995 Review Conference resolution on a nuclear- and weapons of mass destruction-free Middle East zone. The nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation regime is at the crossroads: geopolitical rivalry, proliferation crises, standstill in nuclear disarmament.
